To be fair it's poorly worded, I interpreted it the same way everyone else did at first. But yeah he's worse in the Anime because filler gives him more scenes to show how big a douche he is. Not surprising really, filler tends to just exaggere traits from the manga for everyone. I didn't. And I was the first one to comment. Not everyone reads everyone's replies, a lot of people just respond to the OP. Also I've changed the title so people get what the topic is actually asking.

I think Toei did a good job in filler - The tears in the anime really break him down - the way he just can't bear to watch Gohans head be squashed and doesn't know why - the whole speaking from limbo to Goku to stand up and fight vs Frieza - the way he trains so hard for the androids and gets back up even when he shouldn't - the way he comes to save the day at Bojack because of his son - the extended scenes s Goku as Majin Vegeta - the way he literally blows his stack at Goku for leaving the Saiyan boys and piccolo behind - the whole carrying baby trunks in the movie endings - the whole lets to to the park trunks thing - even how Goten has no fear of Vegeta leads you to believe he's not a bad guy in the anime - the way he goes on to be a dad to bulla I think the manga makes him out as a douche and dick thru and thru; the anime, Toei go out there way to show little signs and nudges that he cares, is prideful, as hell but he cares and just didnt grow up in a world unlike Goku where its acceptable to show it (remember piccolo is only 4 years older than Gohan, so he isn't exposed to hate and evil that long either)
